"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

– Samuel Adams

This goal of this party is to restore the constitution and principles of the founding fathers. The root cause of the unconstitutional growth of the federal government is the Democratic and Republican parties and their politicians. The Democratic and Republican parties are a cancer to this nation. We need to stop trying to treat the symptoms such as: burdensome taxes, out-of-control spending, huge deficits, bad economic policy, special interest groups, activist justices, invasion of privacy, intrusion on individual liberties, and so on. We need to go after the cancer itself, the Democratic and Republican parties, and then the symptoms will go away.

The only power the federal government legally has is written on these four pieces of paper plus the twenty-seven amendments that have since been ratified. That is it, period! The Democratic and Republican parties have spent the last hundred years figuring out ways to circumvent this design and all of the checks and balances that were put in place. This has resulted in a nearly unlimited federal government with endless power for the Democratic and Republican parties as well as their politicians. The Democrats and Republicans use a combination of fear and dependence to keep the people loyal to them and the system they have created. The political parties falsely promise that they can solve any issue (usually one they created) that is causing fear in the people and make it go away if only the people give them more power and become more dependent on the federal government. The greatest fear the people should have today is from their own federal government.

The name of the party is in honor of the Sons of Liberty, the first revolutionaries. The logo is based upon their flag with its 13 red and white strips. The triangle symbolizes gold the original basis of money in our nation, sound monetary policy, and free market capitalism. Limited Federal Government, State Powers, and Individual Liberties are the three pillars the Constitution was based upon.

The fault for the federal government ignoring the Constitution and taking away our freedoms and liberties is the people's fault. It is our fault. There are 545 people who control all the power that the federal government wields. This group is made up of 435 representatives in the house, 100 senators, 9 Supreme Court justices, and the president. These people working together can do anything they want including and completely ignore the Constitution. All of the people holding these positions with only a couple of exceptions belong to the Democratic or Republican Party. These two parties and their politicians control everything, and they have one goal, which is to grow their power and that of the federal government. We clearly have chosen poorly.

The bottom line is that anyone who has been saying we need to return the federal government to its constitutional limits cannot possibly continue to support the Democratic or Republican Party, nor can they stay on the sidelines and not get involved. We need to stop talking and take action. Anyone who really believes in returning the federal government to its constitutional limits must support a political party that will do this.

In "The Party" section you will find our basic argument, our goals, proposed constitutional amendments, along with the proposed party structure and focus. We encourage you to read this section to learn more and contact us with any questions.
